HOW TO REACH TRENTO

By train

From both Verona and from Milan, there are frequent daily trains running to Trento, which is located conveniently on the principal Verona-Brennero railway line. The approximate journey from Verona is 1 hour, while it is 3 hours from Milan.

Travellers should remember that tickets must be validated before boarding trains in Italy. To do so, you must use the yellow machines found on the platforms.

By air

There are no international airports in Trento. The closest airports are the following:

Verona (100 Km) is the nearest and most convenient airport to Trento. It is mostly served by flights to and from mainland Europe, Ireland and the UK. From here, it is easy to reach the Verona railway station by means of a 20-minute shuttle service. The trip from Verona to Trento takes approximately 1 hour and there are trains departing every hour (see above).

Milan (Malpensa) (264 Km) is the nearest long-haul international airport to Trento. By means of a 45-minute shuttle service it is possible to reach the Milan railway station, where you can take a train to Trento (see section "By train" above). In general, the total time for the trip is 3 hours (about 2 hours from Milan to Verona and 1 hour from Verona to Trento).

Venice (173 Km) is an alternative long-haul international airport which is about 3 hours from Trento by train. To get to the train station from the airport there is a shuttle service that takes about half an hour.

By car

Trento is located on the principal North-South motorway (autostrada/autobahn) No. A22, and is approximately 240 km northeast of Milan and 100 km north of Verona.

HOW TO REACH CoSBi

The CoSBi Centre is located in Povo, a small suburb of Trento situated on the hill overlooking the town. The address is Piazza Manci, 17. The CoSBi is based inside a pink building on the main square of the village.

By car

From the TRENTO CENTRO motorway exit:

Exit the motorway at TRENTO CENTRO. Take the bypass road toward PADOVA. Follow the signs to Trento EST (S. Donà, Povo, etc.). You will pass through a short tunnel. Just after it, you should turn left and then immediately to the right and down a steep hill that passes through the S. Donà neighborhood. Shortly, you will come to a roundabout. Cross over the bridge to go towards POVO. Drive up the hill until you reach another roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout. From there go straight for 500 meters and the CoSBi is on the right side.

From Trento:

Once in Trento, you should go to Piazza Venezia. Continue through via Francesco D'Assisi until you pass through Port'Aquila, where you will see a tower on your left. Turn right and take via Venezia. At the roundabout take the first exit. Drive up the hill until you reach another roundabout, and take the second exit at the roundabout. From there go straight for 500 meters and the CoSBi is on the right side.

By bus

Buses depart every 20 minutes from the Trento city center to Povo. From the bus station, located in front of the central railway station, take bus number 5. The approximate journey time is 20 minutes. The cost of a 70 minute bus ticket is 90 cents. Pay attention to the fact that on the bus electronic panel only the final destination appears; thus, if you have any doubts, ask the bus driver for the right stop: "Piazza Manci”. By taxi

You will find taxis just outside the train station at the taxi stand to the right as you exit, or you can call Radio Taxi at +39 0461 930002. The cost is 10 to 15 euros.
