50% Microsoft Research Cambridge and 50% University of Trento.
COSBI executives are:
The Assembly of Parties is made up of two members representing each one of the two shareholders.
The Board of Directors is made up of four members: two members appointed by Microsoft Research Cambridge and two members appointed by the University of Trento.
The President is elected among the members of the Board of Directors appointed by the University of Trento. The President also acts as CEO.
The Management Team is made up of six members, each of them leading one of the six departments, and is chaired by the CEO.
The Advisory Board is an external and independent body made up of six international scientists. It is responsible for performing audits and controls on the quality of the scientific activities.
The Departments: COSBI is internally organized into six departments and an office supporting the CEO.
The Human Resources and Operations department ensures the efficient management of COSBI according to the corporate procedures and designs a plan for updating procedures when new needs emerge.
The Infrastructures department manages HW and SW procurement and ensures services to internal and external users of the infrastructures, according to COSBI financial provisions.
The Finance department applies the general accounting procedures, manages the financial planning and cost control activities according to the strategic plans, and oversees the liaison with COSBI external funding agencies.

The Research Department manages research in the fields of Computer science, Molecular and cell biology, Ecology, Molecular nutrition and Inference and data manipulation.
The Technology Transfer department identifies target markets and the business and marketing strategy, leads the whole cycle for proposing the COSBI solutions and is in charge of the dissemination of scientific results and training, generating income for COSBI.
The Applications Development department oversees the design, development and delivery of COSBI’s software solutions.
