| Rolando Trenti "Emotional Maps" |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The research of Rolando Trenti, whose balance is always carefully oscillating between figurative and abstract form, between the free gesture and a controlled structure of the image, is a poetic and metamorphic immersion in the complex spatiality originating at the encounter of sign and colour. His compositions, populated by abstracts and fluctuant forms, now inspired by biological elements, now by landscapes and nature, come out as suspended and transparent images, bearing physical trajectories and a deep and alchemic poetry. The chromatic effects, the rhythm of the sign, the work carried out on a horizontal plan and, and not last the use of the drawing, allow the images to amplify through and over the physical limits of the picture. The artistic project, conceived for the CoSBi Centre, is linked with a work of the artist dating back to 2002: a sequence of emotional maps inspired by the psychological dimension of one of the most famous and articulated systems of public transports: the subway in London. For this show Trenti develops two other works in which the topic of network is revised in accordance with two new variations. The planning core of the show is the concept of net, which the artist has developed according to the different thematic and formal variations to which it can be applied: particularly, to computing and biological systems and to a type of net which is closer to our everyday life: the means of transport. Thought also as a dialogue between the different areas of the building, the show develops an articulated and visual path composed by works which are very different one form another for their supports and their fixing in place (pictures, drawings, installations on wall and video). Opening times: April 17th 2007 – July 15th 2007 Monday to Friday 9,00-13,00 14,00-17,30 |
