The Beta Workbench (BetaWB) is a free downloadable software prototype for non commercial purposes (see below) upon acceptance of this licence.
BetaWB is a collection of tools based on BlenX, a language explicitly designed to represent biological entities and their interactions.
The BetaWB includes the BetaWB simulator, a stochastic simulator based on an efficient variant of the Gillespie algorithm, the BlenXDesigner, a graphical editor for developing models and the BetaPlotter, a tool to analyse the results of a stochastic simulation run.
The current version of BetaWB is 3.0.
