From Trento to Riva del Garda

The BioComplex Workshop will take place in Trento (4 November) and Riva del Garda (5 - 6 November). These two cities are 40 kilometers apart and travel time between them is about 1 hour. It is possible to reach Riva del Garda from Trento by taking one of the many coaches offered daily. After the opening events and dinner on 4 November in Trento, we will provide a bus to transfer the attendees to the workshop's main venue in Riva del Garda.

How to reach Trento

By air:

Verona is the nearest airport to Trento. It is mostly served by flights to and from mainland Europe, Ireland and the UK. From here, by means of a 20-minute shuttle bus service, it is easy to reach the Verona railway station. The trip from Verona to Trento takes approximately 1 hour and there are trains departing every hour.

Milan (Malpensa) is the nearest long-haul international airport to Trento. By means of a 45-minute shuttle bus service it is possible to reach the Milan railway station, where you can take a train to Trento. In general, the total time for the trip is 3 hours (about 2 hours from Milan to Verona and 1 hour from Verona to Trento).

Venice is an alternative long-haul international airport which is about 3 hours from Trento by train. To get to the train station from the airport there is a shuttle service that takes about half an hour.

By car:

Trento is located on the principal North-South motorway (autostrada/autobahn) No. A22, and is approximately 240 km northeast of Milan and 110 km north of Verona.
