COSBI will participate in the 12th Congress of the Italian Society for Parkinson and Movement Disorders (LIMPE-DISMOV ETS), taking place in Rimini from May 13 to 15, 2025.
During the poster session scheduled for Friday, May 15 (12:45–13:45), Federico Reali and Martina Chiesa will present their work entitled:
“Un modello computazionale della degradazione dell’α-sinucleina nella malattia di Parkinson per caratterizzarne i meccanismi cellulari e la modulazione terapeutica.”
The project focuses on the development of a computational model describing the degradation of α-synuclein, one of the key proteins involved in Parkinson’s disease pathology. By integrating mechanistic insights into cellular degradation pathways, the work aims to better characterize the biological processes underlying α-synuclein accumulation and explore their potential therapeutic modulation.
Computational approaches of this kind can contribute to a deeper understanding of neurodegenerative mechanisms and support the investigation of novel therapeutic strategies in Parkinson’s disease.
