Next generation mRNA-based products: COSBI contributes with its computational modeling approach
In the context of the International Wellcome Leap project “R3: RNA Readiness and Response” the Laboratory of Computational Modeling at the University of Trento (CIBIO Department – PI Luca Marchetti) in collaboration with COSBI have been selected as one of the performers to foster a joint investigation effort in computational modeling of mRNA-based products (vaccines and monoclonal antibodies). This three-year international project, with total fundings of 60 million dollars, aims to the development of a network of skills and tools able to promptly react to the next pandemics. Thanks to a more efficient and accessible use of the revolutionary mRNA technology, vaccines and monoclonal antibodies are being studied to fight new viral or bacterial infections and against cancer.
