Nicola Casiraghi

COSBI is pleased to announce that Nicola Casiraghi has been appointed Group Leader of the Systems Biology Group, taking on a new leadership role after four years at the institute.

Nicola joined COSBI in 2022 and has since contributed extensively to the development of quantitative multi-omics approaches within our research activities. His work focuses on designing and implementing reproducible bioinformatics methods and computational pipelines for genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics across diverse disease areas and experimental settings.

He holds a PhD in Computational Biology from the University of Trento and brings experience from both academia and industry. Throughout his time at COSBI, Nicola has supported rigorous data analysis, careful interpretation of results, and evidence-based scientific guidance in collaborative research projects.

In his new role as Group Leader, Nicola will coordinate and further develop the Systems Biology Group, strengthening the integration of multi-omics methodologies and computational strategies across COSBI’s initiatives.

This appointment reflects COSBI’s commitment to recognizing internal growth and fostering scientific leadership within the institute.
