From June 24 to 26, COSBI is participating in ENCALS 2026 (European Network to Cure ALS), held in Madrid, Spain. Representing COSBI at the conference are Alessio Paris, Senior Researcher, and Luca Marchetti, COSBI Consultant, who are presenting a poster developed through a multidisciplinary collaboration between COSBI, the University of Trento, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE), and the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Modena.
The work reflects the importance of combining clinical expertise with computational biology and systems biology approaches to improve our understanding of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and related neurodegenerative diseases. By integrating experimental and clinical data with computational analyses, the study contributes to ongoing efforts to better characterize disease mechanisms and support future research in this challenging field.
The poster is co-authored by Alessio Paris, Luca Marchetti, Alex De Nardi, Mario Lauria, Ilaria Martinelli, Elisabetta Zucchi, Nicolò Mesini, and Jessica Mandrioli, highlighting the value of interdisciplinary and inter-institutional collaborations in addressing complex biomedical questions.
ENCALS is one of the leading international conferences dedicated to ALS research, bringing together clinicians, neuroscientists, computational researchers, and industry experts to share the latest advances in the understanding and treatment of the disease.
COSBI is proud to contribute to this collaborative effort and thanks all partners involved for their expertise and commitment.
