The Interviews with COSBI’s 20th Anniversary Speakers
Event

From May 28–30, COSBI participated in the 2025 Annual Meeting of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), held in Washington, D.C. The ASCPT meeting is one of the leading global events in clinical pharmacology, translational science, and model-informed drug development.
Luca Marchetti, senior researcher at COSBI, presented a poster highlighting COSBI’s work within the Wellcome Leap R3 (RNA Readiness and Response) program, conducted in collaboration with the University of Trento.
The poster focused on a quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) model developed to simulate the pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of mRNA therapeutics. The model offers a mechanistic framework for optimizing dosing, delivery strategies, and formulation parameters—critical elements for the rapid and effective deployment of RNA-based therapies.
This contribution aligns with COSBI’s broader efforts to apply computational modeling to support the development and translation of next-generation therapeutics. Participation in ASCPT provided a valuable opportunity to share ongoing work with the international modeling and clinical pharmacology community.
