A Strategic Dialogue on the Future of Healthcare

The event “Il futuro della medicina”, hosted in the prestigious headquarters of Fondazione Salvatore in Naples, offered an important moment of dialogue on how scientific excellence, institutional support, and coordinated action can shape the future of healthcare in Italy.

COSBI contributed to the discussion thanks to Federico Reali (member of the ALISEI Scientific Committee), who showcased recent advances in medical research and innovation, emphasizing the role of computational approaches in driving progress in the life sciences.

A special thank-you goes to Roberto Di Lauro (Fondazione Dohrn) for making the event possible, as well as to Roberta Lauro and Vincenzo Nigro from Distretto Campania Bioscience for their essential support.

The level of discussion was elevated by key institutional contributions from Graziano Lardo, Direttore Generale della Ricerca e dell’Innovazione in Sanità (Ministero della Salute), and Sen. Mariolina Castellone, Vicepresidente del Senato della Repubblica, who reaffirmed the strategic importance of investing in biomedical research and innovation. Valuable perspectives also came from Marco Aiello (IRCCS SYNLAB SDN) and Alfredo Nicosia (Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II).

Equally inspiring were the interventions of Luigi Maria Terracciano, Direttore Scientifico di Humanitas University, and Pietro Gatti, Chief Scientific Operations Officer di Human Technopole, who highlighted the rapid development of two leading national centers in the life sciences.

The day concluded with the Assemblea Straordinaria di ALISEI, which brought together representatives of the cluster — both onsite and remotely — for an important moment of strategic alignment and planning.

COSBI warmly thanks all partners and institutions involved for fostering an ecosystem where science, policy, and innovation can grow together.
