A PhD project advancing AI-driven research in cancer genomics
COSBI is pleased to welcome Filippo Gastaldello, who has recently joined us as a PhD student. Filippo is pursuing his doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Alessandro Romanel at the University of Trento.
His project, “AI-driven exploration of germline and somatic coding variant interplay in cancer,” focuses on integrating computational methods, artificial intelligence, and genomic data to investigate how genetic variants contribute to cancer development.
This research aligns closely with COSBI’s mission of advancing biomedical understanding through the interplay of biology, mathematics, and data science.
We are excited to support Filippo in this new chapter and look forward to the contributions his work will bring to our research community.
